Galway Wool

Conor O’Brien Design is one of Ireland’s very first brands to be using pure Irish wool from the native Galway sheep, based on a small farm in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, Ireland.

Blatnaid Gallagher runs an Organic & Social Farm in East Galway near the Historical Village of Aughrim. Blatnaid is passionate about Irish Heritage; running a pedigree flock of Galways in her beautiful idyll in the west of Ireland.

Conor has always dreamt of using pure Irish wool in his apparel design, and now the dream has finally become a reality. Working with Blatnaid, Conor has produced one of the first products using Galway wool, the Galway Gilet, and continues to work towards producing more contemporary fashion in the native Irish fibre.
